Overview

The National Student Exchange (NSE) program is made of 200+ universities across the United States, that also includes universities in Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam and the US Virgin Islands. NSE is a feasible opportunity offering students to study at another university for up to one year. Here is a quick video explaining the program!

Why go on exchange?

  • Explore new places
  • Check out future graduate schools
  • Network for research and job opportunities
  • Take new classes
  • Try different things
  • Meet new people
  • Keep your scholarships and financial aid

By bringing together students from different areas of the country, NSE encourages participants to broaden their academicsocial, and cultural awareness. Through a simplified admissions process, students are able to enroll at a host institution with the same financial benefits enjoyed by in-state residents. Credits and grades are recorded at MSU-Bozeman as a part of the student's permanent transcript.

"NSE has only had a positive impact on my personal growth. It has honestly changed my perspective on so many things just by getting to meet new people and seeing a different culture. I would recommend NSE to anyone and tell them to push through the nerves and just do it!"Kameron Armstrong, previous NSE exchange student from NMSU
