The Jabs Entrepreneurship Center started its entrepreneur in-residence (EIR) program as an additional resource for students in the Alderson Program in Entrepreneurship in the spring of 2011 with its first EIR, Gary Gannon. These seasoned entrepreneurs are brought in to act as mentors the Jake Jabs College of Business & Entrepreneurship (JJCBE) students.

This program provides one-of-a-kind mentoring and face-to-face interactions with successful entrepreneurs spanning diverse fields of expertise. During the week, entrepreneurs visit a number of classes to chat with students, answer questions and give constructive criticism on projects and presentations. They also hold office hours.

About the Entrepreneurs-in-Residence
Total BS Media is a full-service firm, specializing in content marketing and public relations. They push clients to approach content with what we call Irreverent Strategery (TM pending), which is the process of taking a holistic look at business goals, buyer personas, trends, and marketing history and then applying an irreverent spin to stand out in an extremely crowded marketplace. The goal is to entertain, educate and elevate a brand to reach new, and existing customers with a more interesting and intriguing dialogue.

The B is Brit Booth, Creative Director for the firm. Brit grew up in Butte, went to school at Montana State University and took some classes at the Art Institute of San Francisco and then went on to a host of companies specializing in copywriting, creative direction and public relations. Companies included Nike, Adidas, Lands End, and PrintingforLess.

The S is Sarah Hunter. Sarah is the Strategy Director at the firm. Sarah grew up in Billings, went to school at The New School in New York where she graduated with a degree in film and media studies. Sarah went on to work for HDNet, Montana PBS, DiMarzio Pickups, and PrintingforLess. Sarah was in charge of managing marketing teams and overseeing the strategic planning and execution.

Total BS was officially launched on June 7, 2014, and took on their first client, The Coldsmoke Awards, in early August. They landed the gig by poaching the owner's unpublished email from a friend of a friend of a friend. They sent him a note, scheduled a meeting, and booked the 6-month contract within only a few short days. They worked on the award's 10th-anniversary campaign managing creative direction, video production, public relations and marketing strategy.

Today, Total BS Media serves a pipeline and roster of clients throughout Montana, as well as Oregon, Washington, California, Maryland, New Mexico, South Carolina, and Scotland. All new clients coming to Total BS have been through word of mouth or because of their inbound leads from content marketing and SEO.

Content marketing is at the center of Total BS. They specialize in formulating solid strategies that use content marketing and earned media to raise brand perception, awareness, engagement, conversion, and loyalty in an organic and meaningful way. Brit and Sarah are HubSpot certified, which is the leading content management system. They also specialize in many other marketing automation platforms to help clients scale quickly and strategically.
