a. Chris Posbergh moves to approve. Eric Austin seconds. None opposed. Approved.
III. FYI Items
a. Choices (benefits) re-enrollment starts April 24, 2024, and will be open through May 15. The new plan year begins July 1, 2024.
b. The deadline for 12 month pay (26 paychecks) is May 17, 2024. No action is necessary if you do not wish to opt into this program.

1. What if you have a piece of equipment you don’t need, but you do need a different piece of equipment, can you sell the one to buy the other?
A. Yes. There is a way to do that. The State takes a cut. The information can be found through the form.
2. Why isn’t this the job of the dean of each college?
A. It is what we are charged with. The group will work with you on any issues you may have.
3. Who do we contact if we move equipment?
A. Do the form, or mail Carmelita, or Walt.
i. There is no option on the form dropdown for relocation. Would be great to add that.

VII. Senators’ Open Conversation
a. Karie Orendorff: Clarification about the Delta Dental plan issues. Is there anyone doing something about it?
i. People are hearing that no one is taking it any longer, and that doesn’t seem the case.
ii. MSU doesn’t negotiate it, it is done campus wide.
iii. Seven-year contract.
b. Scott Mc Calla: NSF grants
i. Not supposed to use grant money to bring someone in. Is there any money available for hospitality for this type of thing?
1. Do not think so.
2. Wish we would reconsider it. Doesn’t seem right to ask graduate students to pay for this type of thing.
3. Maybe your department has other funds they can use. Should speak to your department head.
