Special Education – B.S. in Elementary Education K-8, Special Education Emphasis
Students in the Special Education program at Montana State start their journey with a broad educational foundation that focuses on how science, technology, engineering and math interconnect with language arts, social studies, arts and health enhancement in the classroom. From there, Special Education students complete coursework focusing on educational assessment and teaching students with special needs, both on the MSU Bozeman and MSU Billings campus. Additionally, Special Education students complete an extensive field experience component that combines service-learning experiences, two practicum teaching semesters and student teaching in their final year.

Elementary Education students tutor kids in local schools, helping to enhance their
primary-level reading and math skills through the America Reads and America Counts
