Marketing – B.S. in Business, Marketing Emphasis
Students in the Business – Marketing program at Montana State gain the tools to enter this growing and continuously-changing sector of the global economy through hands-on projects in and out of the classroom. Marketing students focus on skills such as statistical analysis, market tests and product research with interdisciplinary courses, extracurricular networking and consultation projects with the community. Once they enter the workforce, students in the program go on to become marketing and sales managers, retail buyers, sales professionals, digital marketing specialists or advertising account representatives.
The Business major at Montana State offers three other Options Within the Major: Accounting, Finance and Management.
Community Outreach
The Boardroom Bobcats program gives students the opportunity to gain practical experience,
leadership development and familiarity with the nonprofit sector while offering local
organizations insights and fresh perspectives.
American Marketing Association
Marketing students can join Montana State's Top 10-ranked American Marketing Association
student chapter, which prepares students for their professional careers through a
variety of hands-on experiences.
MSU Blackstone LaunchPad
Entrepreneurial students interested in starting their own businesses can turn to the
MSU Blackstone LaunchPad. Housed within the Jake Jabs College of Business & Entrepreneurship,
the LaunchPad has helped hundreds of teams through coaching, networking and funding
support.
