Building Energy Systems – Minor
The Building Energy Systems minor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Montana State equips students with interdisciplinary skills in building information modeling, applied thermodynamics, alternative energy, and more.
A team of Montana State engineering and architecture students won a top award at the 2019 ASHRAE Design Competition and Applied Engineering Challenge for their design of an energy-efficient hospital.
Designed for Learning
Heat pumps and other parts of the HVAC system in MSU's new engineering building were
installed so that students could interact and learn from them.
