Agricultural Education – B.S. in Agricultural Education, Communications, Leadership and Extension Emphasis

Students within the Agricultural Education – Communications, Leadership and Extension program at Montana State develop professional skills to advocate for the agriculture industry and educate diverse audiences on emerging agricultural issues. Depending on the students’ interests, they can focus on agricultural communications, agricultural extension, or agricultural leadership as part of their course of studies. Regardless of their track, every Agricultural Education – Communications, Leadership and Extension student completes a Leadership Fellows certificate, as well as an internship with an agricultural agency, Extension office or agricultural organization.

 

 

 

Agricultural Education major Tyler Noyes ’22 was one of 14 ambassadors nationwide chosen for the National Teach Ag Campaign, a program from the National Association of Agricultural Education designed to promote community involvement in the agriculture industry to high school students.

They also critique resumes and help students practice job interviews. Additionally, the Allen Yarnell Center for Student Success offers free workshops for students to develop the professional communication and collaboration skills that are highly sought after by employers.
